Trying to keep warm in this wintry weather in Melbourne at this time of year is difficult. I'm spending most of my weekends indoors now, cooking the type of food to warm the hearts of my loved ones. Family is the most important to me. Bring on spring time and warmer days please.

Yesterday I went out on a ride with Dave and a few of our bike club friends. It was going to be a very hot day. The sky was blue and the sun in the morning was already scorching. We left fairly early and met our friends at a service station before commencing the ride. We had planned to ride around the bay down to Sorrento for lunch and then catch a ferry to Queenscliff, but because of the predicted temperature of 40 degrees, we opted to ride up into the hills where we knew shady trees would be overhanging the roads to cool us down. The thought of riding where the traffic was busy, and having to stop and start at traffic lights, wasn't invitin
